Ogongo Jacob Odhiambo is a bearer of Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from the University of Nairobi,Kenya.He joined TAHMO as a freelancer in  2024,and later was considered for Internship position in 2024-2025.

Jacob has served for the position of Internship for six  months with TAHMO and later was able to seal  the position of Field Technician in 2025.

In TAHMO ,as a Technician he has been  working on large network of Automatic Weather Station to keep them well operational and deliver reliable data to the Africa Community, for the matters of environmental research programs, learning , economic space and to the world at large .He has made this possible through zoning of the Stations to ensure seamless operations.

He is very enthusiastic  and open  to professionally learn and grow with the current technology and developments applied around in tackling the Climate  Change crises

Jacob is also an Apiarist and has been  trained under the Education for Sustainable Development in Africa (ESDA) program by the University of Nairobi.

Jacob is a participant in the following short training: Water ,Soil and Health:Community Intervention by UK Research and Innovation,Hazardous Materials Management under Agha Khan University,Basic Satellite Imagery Interpretation under UCAR ,COMET program and Aviation Hazards:Low Ceiling and Reduced Visibility under UCAR,COMET program.
